The LIGHT in BLACK collection was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of CITIZEN’s core technology, Eco-Drive. The designs imagine a single beam of light illuminating the darkness with black cases and dials accented with gold-colored elements to represent light. This captivating combination of light and dark expresses Eco-Drive's constant, enduring rhythm powered by light.

Stylish yellow gold-coloured accents contrast beautifully with the black base colour. Advanced inkjet printing technology is used on the dials to produce a sense of depth and dimension, with five overlapping patterns that symbolize the 50th anniversary. The deep black color takes on different moods depending on the angle of the light reflecting off the dial. While all models in this series share the same design concept, each individual model has unique characteristics and personality.
